Role Overview

In this engineering position, you collaborate closely with the CTO to leverage AI tools such as Claude Code for software development. Your main tasks involve transforming broad product concepts into detailed product requirement documents (PRDs) and technical specifications, directing AI coding agents by crafting prompts, decomposing tasks, validating outputs, testing, and shipping software updates. Responsibilities also include developing supportive systems like AI agent workflows, evaluation procedures, security guardrails, and continuous integration pipelines. Ensuring code quality, debugging, and enhancing the stability of production code, including reviewing AI-generated code, are vital aspects of this role.

Technology Stack and Workflow

The development utilizes Python with FastAPI and TypeScript with Next.js deployed on Google Cloud Platform services (Cloud Run, Firestore, BigQuery, Terraform). Integrations include Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, plus Twilio and HubSpot. The team practices trunk-based development featuring AI-assisted code reviews, test-driven development (TDD), and short-lived branches with frequent releases. They expect rapid productivity through AI tool support rather than mastery of all tools from the start.

Candidate Profile

• Strong foundational skills in Python or TypeScript capable of understanding and articulating unfamiliar code bases.
• Practical experience employing AI coding assistants beyond simple autocomplete functions (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).
• Excellent written communication skills for clear specifications, commit messages, and incident reporting.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn cloud technologies (preferably Google Cloud Platform), Git version control, and test-driven development methodologies.
• Located in Dubai or willing to relocate with visa sponsorship provided.

Application Process

This project should be uploaded to a public GitHub repository reflecting meaningful commit history. Additionally, submit a short video (~5 minutes) summarizing the app idea, AI integration process, a live demonstration, highlights, and potential next steps. The assessment emphasizes your skill in specification formulation, AI direction, output validation, and communication clarity. Small, complete projects developed over a few evenings are ideal.
