Job description
Job Summary
The role involves supporting the scheduling and materials planning processes to ensure the manufacturing activities meet delivery schedules fully and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Production Planners and production teams by maintaining up-to-date production schedules, monitoring progress, and addressing minor planning issues.
- Track production progress carefully to support timely and complete delivery that satisfies customer and business expectations.
- Verify material availability aligned with planned schedules and communicate any shortages or delays to Procurement, escalating issues when needed.
- Help sequence production jobs to reduce downtime and optimize machine usage.
- Liaise with suppliers to coordinate accurate and timely deliveries of materials.
- Evaluate and monitor potential risks to production plans, managing buffers to prevent delays in delivery.
- Support KANBAN systems by tracking material supply to production areas, ensuring milestones are met.
- Contribute to monitoring team members’ performance and development to maintain efficiency and internal customer satisfaction.
- Prepare data reports to aid strategic meetings and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP and MRP systems.
- Identify minor bottlenecks in production planning and propose improvements.
- Join integrated planning meetings and help solve problems collaboratively.
- Perform additional value-adding duties outside usual scope when requested.
- Adhere strictly to the organizational values and work standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or Engineering fields.
- Project management certification or qualification is desirable.
- At least one year of experience in master scheduling within a production or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic understanding of raw materials and production planning processes.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Awareness of ISO standards and quality processes.
- Understanding of organizational performance metrics and standards.
- Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.
- Bank note printing experience is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
