Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Java Software Engineer to join our team in Pune District, Maharashtra. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend applications leveraging Java and Spring Boot frameworks within a microservices architecture.
Responsibilities
- Create, improve, and manage backend services and applications with an emphasis on high performance using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop scalable applications based on Microservices principles.
- Design and optimize RESTful APIs to ensure reliable functionality and efficiency.
- Engage with SQL databases for schema design, query tuning, and performance enhancements.
- Implement event-driven solutions utilizing Apache Kafka technology.
- Deploy and maintain applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Architecture to deliver quality software.
- Participate actively in code reviews ensuring adherence to coding standards and industry best practices.
- Identify and resolve production issues while promoting continuous process improvements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java programming with practical experience.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot framework for backend development.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Microservices architecture.
- Deep knowledge of SQL databases and query optimization techniques.
- Experience using AWS services for deployment and management.
- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka for event-driven application design.
- Understanding of REST API design paradigms, common design patterns, and distributed system concepts.
- Comfortable with Git version control, CI/CD tooling, and Agile practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
