Role Summary

We are looking for an International Field Service Representative based in the UAE to join the Silvus team remotely. This role focuses on offering specialized technical solutions, demonstrations, and support for the Silvus StreamCaster™ radio family and mesh networking products, playing a vital role in influencing ongoing product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical assistance pre- and post-sale, including system planning, client training, and performance optimization.
• Develop comprehensive expertise in Silvus’ radio and networking technology and its competitive advantages.
• Prepare and execute product demonstrations during customer visits and equipment evaluations.
• Provide on-site technical support and training at client locations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot field issues and irregularities.
• Gather and study failure data from field operations and relay feedback to development teams.
• Collaborate with design engineers to replicate and analyze technical challenges.
• Travel extensively, up to 75% of the time, to customer sites.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education equivalent to High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a Field Service Representative or similar role.
• Background in supporting Ministry of Defense tactical communications, emphasizing data networks and radios.
• Proficiency in TCP/IP networking protocols.
• Basic English reading and writing skills.
• Ability to organize tasks meticulously with strong attention to detail.
• Residency within the UAE is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel to potentially unstable areas to support radio deployments.
• Successful background check clearance required as a condition of employment.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Experience using radio frequency diagnostic tools such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers.
• Familiarity with IP radio/modem operation and testing is advantageous.
• Understanding of wireless communication, radio frequency propagation, and digital communications.
• Programming skills in languages like C/C++.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Military experience is considered a strong asset.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Participation in trade shows and outdoor demonstrations.
• Exposure to varying environmental conditions including temperature fluctuations and allergens during fieldwork.
• Capability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds for demonstration setup and testing.

• Approximately 50-75% travel required.
