Department Overview

The Avigilon Alta Video UI team handles critical infrastructure for their Video Management System (VMS). They are evolving their platform towards deep integration across Motorola's product suite. The team prioritizes high-performance software design, architectural consistency, and dependable real-time tools. Their current frontend stack leverages Vue 3, Pinia, TypeScript, with backend services built in Go. Engineering fundamentals are emphasized over familiarity with specific libraries.

Work Environment

The team operates from a vibrant office in Edinburgh city center, adopting a hybrid work style that encourages approximately two days per week in-office attendance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, and maintain software products and systems.
• Integrate software with hardware systems, ensuring consistent throughput and program stability.
• Create and verify structures and user documentation as part of development.
• Architect and implement sophisticated state management patterns alongside solid API integrations to support a growing ecosystem.
• Enhance release efficiency by contributing to CI/CD pipelines and utilizing Firebase services for swift, dependable deployment of features.

Essential Qualifications

• Experienced software engineer with emphasis on modern frontend architecture.
• Proficiency managing complex application logic and states using technologies like Pinia, Vuex, or Redux.
• Strong knowledge of REST API consumption, Firebase, and continuous integration practices.
• Advanced skills in TypeScript, CSS, and HTML for frontend development.
