Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced integration specialist to join as an IIB Integration Designer. This position involves architecting and developing resilient enterprise connectivity solutions that span various systems and platforms. The selected candidate will transform both business and technical requirements into integration designs that prioritize reliability, high performance, and sustainable maintainability. Collaboration with architects, delivery teams, and technical experts is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement enterprise integration solutions utilizing IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
• Interpret business and technical specs to design scalable integration architectures.
• Build IIB message flows, integration services, and reusable components.
• Develop comprehensive integration solutions connecting enterprise applications, databases, middleware, and external systems.
• Manage asynchronous and synchronous integration patterns.
• Develop integrations using REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, IBM MQ, JMS, and other industry communication protocols.
• Perform message transformations with ESQL and other relevant technologies.
• Define integration interfaces, message frameworks, data mapping, and transformation guidelines.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards regarding performance, scalability, availability, security, and maintainability.
• Design and implement APIs and integration services aligned with enterprise architectural principles.
• Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues in development, testing, and production settings.
• Conduct root cause analysis and propose effective technical remedies for integration failures and performance bottlenecks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years’ experience working with enterprise integration platforms and middleware.
• Expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) including ESQL programming and message transformation design.
• Practical knowledge of IBM MQ, RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
• Proven ability to convert complex business and technical requirements into functional integration architectures.
• Effective communication skills to convey designs, dependencies, risks, and suggestions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience collaborating with Enterprise/Solution Architects, app owners, developers, and various stakeholders such as infrastructure, middleware, database teams, security, DevOps, and business units.
• Strong English proficiency in writing and speaking for documentation and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with JMS and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).
• Knowledge of Kafka or other event streaming platforms.
• Background in banking or financial services domain.
• Experience with migration or upgrades from IIB to ACE.
• Ability to present integration architecture or proposals to senior leadership.
• Experience working with external vendors or third-party teams.
• Arabic language skills to facilitate communication with local stakeholders.
