HVAC Controls Engineer

Role Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support by reporting directly to the Manager or Project Manager, overseeing assigned projects and contract sites to ensure smooth daily operations, customer satisfaction, and effective performance management.
• Handle the design, planning, testing, commissioning, software programming, and on-site supervision of Building Management Systems (BMS) according to project plans and contract specifications.
• Perform testing and commissioning tasks for BMS, Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), and Security Systems including preparation of technical submittals, method statements, compliance documentation, Operation, Service and Engineering (OSE) Reports, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
• Provide post-installation service support and solutions to maintain customers' control or BMS systems effectively.

Role Purpose

• Assist with system setup, programming, and commissioning activities.
• Support the project manager in project execution, system testing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop hands-on experience and technical knowledge in HVAC, energy management, and building automation technologies.

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
• Interest in building automation, energy efficiency, and smart building technologies.
• Experience or familiarity with control systems or IT networks is advantageous.
• Practical experience in Building Management Systems with solid understanding of HVAC systems, lighting controls, and automation technologies.
• Knowledgeable in building automation protocols, programming languages, and system integration techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills, effective teamwork, and communication abilities.
• Capability to work in construction environments or under high-stress conditions.
• Willingness to work during non-standard hours like after regular working hours or at midnight.
