Job description
Role Overview
As an Assistant Engineer focusing on Building Management System (BMS) Control Application, you will report to the application engineer and support application engineers by managing designated project or contract sites. Your responsibilities will include coordinating tasks, tracking team metrics, and overseeing KPIs to ensure daily customer and operational objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning BMS activities such as testing, commissioning, software programming, and on-site supervision; ensure adherence to project plans, technical specifications, and contract documents.
- Carry out testing and commissioning for BMS, Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), and Security Systems; prepare required technical documentation including submittals, method statements, compliance documents, Operational Safety and Environmental (OSE) reports, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Support system setup, programming, and commissioning alongside senior engineers, and assist during project implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Develop expertise in HVAC, energy management, and building automation systems through structured training and practical experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or Degree holder in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering or similar disciplines.
- Strong enthusiasm for building automation systems, energy efficiency, and smart building technologies.
- Basic knowledge of control systems or IT networks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Highly motivated to learn and grow expertise in BMS control systems through provided training.
- Good interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities.
- Willingness to work in construction site environments under high pressure.
- Availability to work during irregular hours including after office hours or midnight shifts.
