Job description
Position Overview
The Human Resources Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for managing all HR functions within Big Horn County. This role ensures that human capital policies align with county guidelines as well as state and federal employment laws. Key duties include overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle, managing labor relations and employee performance, ensuring compliance, and handling benefits administration.
This position demands a blend of thorough technical knowledge of public-sector employment regulations and strong interpersonal skills to cultivate a healthy, supportive, and compliant workplace environment.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Two or more years of advancing experience in HR management, with backgrounds in either public or private sectors considered.
- Certification such as HRCI (PHR/SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP/SCP) is highly desirable.
- The candidate must hold a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening is required.
