Job description
Position Overview
This permanent, full-time role based in Crestmead, Queensland, involves servicing several customer sites by collecting liquid waste such as grease traps and septics using a tanker truck. The role requires transporting the collected waste to a disposal facility for recycling. Drivers will operate modern, reliable vehicles and equipment while ensuring compliance with company safety regulations and accurately completing paperwork.
Working Conditions and Compensation
- Work schedule typically starts early mornings between 2am and 4am, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
- Hourly pay rate is $34.08, with overtime compensated at applicable overtime rates.
- Uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) are supplied by the company.
- A $1500 retention bonus is paid quarterly every three months.
- Comprehensive induction and training programs are provided upon joining.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold a manual HR driver’s license or higher and maintain a clean driving record.
- Willingness to operate Medium Rigid (MR) trucks is essential.
- A dependable, motivated individual with a positive attitude and readiness to learn.
- Candidates need to successfully pass a pre-employment medical examination including drug and alcohol testing.
- The ability to obtain a National Police Check, which will be funded by the employer.
- Previous experience in the waste management sector is not mandatory.
