Handyman

About the Role

The Handyman position involves carrying out building and grounds upkeep tasks at the production plant. This role requires handling a variety of maintenance duties including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic masonry to ensure smooth operation of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities

• Repairing dollies and sorting tools for easy access and organization.
• Maintaining ladders and sharpening blades of knives and scissors.
• Cleaning insect control devices and drainage systems including grease traps.
• Inspecting wells, assisting with vehicle tyre changes, washing trucks, and performing pressure washing for designated areas such as cafp/pad.
• Executing minor roofing repairs like flash band application.
• Replacing doors, hinges, and locks as necessary.
• Installing and repairing faucets and taps.
• Supporting maintenance technicians in diverse tasks.
• Carrying out basic masonry work and maintaining workshop tools properly.
• Changing plucker fingers and performing light lubrication tasks using grease guns.
• Replacing bathroom lighting fixtures and erecting scaffolding when required.
• Ensuring the workshop area remains organized and well maintained.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
• Ability to perform minor masonry and roofing repairs.
• Knowledge of workshop tool usage and maintenance.
• Competence in general facility cleaning and upkeep.
• Physical capability to handle manual maintenance tasks and assist technicians.

Additional Information

This role is based at the production plant location and involves full-time onsite work. The candidate should be prepared for a hands-on position that supports overall maintenance operations with a practical approach.
