About the Role
BIPO is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to be based in Singapore. This role requires on-site presence and operates within the Technology, Information, and Media industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS for all the group's diverse business units and geographic locations.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including oversight of intercompany transactions and eliminations.
- Supervise external auditors and complete statutory audits for the group and principal operating entities.
- Develop and maintain the financial governance and internal controls framework, and conduct risk-based control reviews across units to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance and functional oversight over tax compliance and transfer pricing regulations across applicable jurisdictions.
- Drive initiatives that enhance finance functions through transformation projects emphasizing process automation, reporting accuracy, and data quality.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a skilled, multi-entity finance team fostering accountability and continual improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CA or CPA are preferred.
- Brings at least 15 years of progressive financial experience, including a minimum of 5 years in group or multi-entity controllership roles.
- Experience in Big 4 or equivalent professional services combined with commercial sector exposure is highly desirable, especially within software or business services.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge covering consolidation, mergers and acquisitions accounting, and complex IFRS standards application.
- Proven success in managing external auditors and completing statutory audits effectively.
- Hands-on experience with Tier 1 ERP solutions such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalents, with additional advantage if familiar with NetSuite.
- Exhibits excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills suitable for interacting with Boards, executives, and international teams.
- High integrity, sound commercial judgment, and capability to function within a multifaceted, stakeholder-rich environment.
- Business fluency in both English and Chinese languages.
