Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper zoning in the grocery department to keep it customer-ready at all times.
- Rotate stock regularly and remove expired or damaged items to preserve product freshness and quality.
- Accurately price and label merchandise, adhering to policies for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, and signage.
- Comply with food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning protocols to ensure a hygienic workspace.
- Keep the department fully stocked by replenishing merchandise and completing necessary downstocking and product protection tasks, including modular setup.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
- Be flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands and deliver consistent service.
Challenges in the Role
- Manage high volumes of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, particularly during overnight shifts, maintaining focus and energy throughout.
- Perform physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out repetitive duties like stocking and zoning with precision and consistency to uphold store standards.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.40 Canadian dollars.
