Pyramid Plus is a collaborative venture between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, specializing in high-quality repairs, maintenance, compliance, planned replacements, and fire risk assessments. Supporting over 23,500 homes, the team completes more than 38,000 repairs annually alongside 1,000 void refurbishments and installations of 600 kitchens and bathrooms. With a strong future project pipeline, this role plays a vital part in steering planning and customer service functions within the operation's senior management.
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and skilled General Operative to join our Repairs and Maintenance team. This practical position involves a diverse range of maintenance tasks, emphasizing customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail to uphold the quality of our property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mould washes effectively.
- Install fixtures including curtains, blinds, and door handles utilizing basic maintenance skills and precision.
- Carry out painting and decorating duties with strong organisational capabilities and pride in quality.
- Repair leaking waste pipes and manage minor plumbing issues using practical problem-solving approaches.
- Replace light bulbs and inspect smoke alarms, demonstrating a proactive stance on safety.
- Support cleaning and waste collection efforts, receiving training and showing a willingness to develop new skills.
- Collaborate thoroughly with team members within Repairs and Maintenance to ensure reliability and assistance.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and residents using strong interpersonal skills.
- Make autonomous decisions and address problems confidently when necessary.
- Adhere to high standards of safety, quality, and cost control with a dependable work style.
- Possess and maintain a valid UK full driving license.
