Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a General Merchandise Associate offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable retail experience while developing customer service skills. This role centers on delivering outstanding customer support by embodying Walmart's core principles, maintaining well-organized merchandise areas, and assisting in product stocking and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service, assisting them with product selection, promotion of services, locating items, and resolving issues or escalations as needed.
• Maintain and manage a designated salesfloor section by organizing and zoning merchandise.
• Return featured products to their designated locations.
• Retrieve merchandise from customer service and other store areas to replenish stock.
• Provide support at checkout counters when necessary.
• Coordinate with colleagues to ensure salesfloor coverage remains consistent.
• Contribute to workplace safety and cleanliness by following company policies, completing safety sweeps, and securing displays and fixtures properly.
• Stock shelves, conduct product picks and downstocking (if required), apply product protection measures, and set up modulars including flexible sections and shelf caps.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.15.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
