Role Overview
The General Manager holds the responsibility for operating a profitable McDonald's restaurant while upholding the brand's rigorous customer standards in Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. A critical leadership role, the General Manager collaborates with their superior to establish and implement strategies aimed at achieving restaurant goals.
Key Responsibilities
Operating as a team leader, the General Manager oversees Department Managers each tasked with specific duties within the restaurant. This involves assisting these managers in defining their objectives, monitoring their progress, and offering guidance to enhance departmental performance, which collectively elevates the restaurant's success. Recruitment and development of Department and Shift Managers also fall under the General Manager's duties to ensure the leadership pipeline is robust.
Candidacy Requirements
Successful candidates typically have prior experience managing high-volume locations as General Managers, preferably within quick service restaurants or related sectors such as hospitality or retail. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to fulfill the managerial position at a corporate-owned store.
