Job description
Position Overview
The General Manager is accountable for operating a profitable restaurant while ensuring adherence to McDonald’s stringent standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership role entails collaborating with senior leadership to establish restaurant goals and devising actionable plans to attain them.
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager leads the Department Managers who each oversee specific areas of the restaurant. This involves setting individual goals for departments, monitoring progress, and providing coaching and strategic guidance to enhance performance. Success in these areas leads to overall restaurant improvement.
Additionally, the General Manager may be tasked with recruiting and nurturing Department and Shift Managers to build a capable leadership team for the future.
Candidate Profile
Preferred candidates will have prior experience managing high-volume general manager roles, ideally within quick service restaurants, though backgrounds in hospitality or retail are also relevant. Applicants must be 18 years or older to qualify as managers at corporate-owned McDonald’s locations.
