General Labourer

About the Role

We are seeking a General Labourer to join our team in Madeley on a full-time, permanent basis. The position offers an hourly wage starting at £12.71, with a potential increase following successful completion of the probation period. Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The successful candidate will support the production team by preparing materials for welders, moving stock efficiently, and keeping the workspace tidy and well-organised. Previous experience within warehouse or manufacturing settings is advantageous but not mandatory as full training will be provided. Ideal candidates will have practical common sense, dependability, and a proactive approach to their duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and products for the welding team to use.
• Transport stock and materials around the production area to support workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the work environment.
• Assist the production team with various labouring tasks as needed.
• Help in organising and moving stock to ensure smooth production operations.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in warehouse or manufacturing roles is preferred.
• Possession of an FLT (Forklift Truck) license is desirable.
• An overhead crane license would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• A positive mindset coupled with eagerness to learn new skills.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Location: Telford TF7.
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
• Pay rate: £13.45 per hour.
