Job description
Role Overview
Join our team at Compass Group Canada as a General Help associate supporting daily restaurant operations. Your duties will encompass a variety of tasks including cleaning, aiding in food preparation, serving customers, and dishwashing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and attentive service by taking orders and demonstrating thorough product knowledge.
- Prepare a range of beverages following set standards, including labeling lids and pots correctly.
- Assemble food items such as bagels, wraps, and sandwiches while strictly adhering to food safety protocols.
- Operate cooking equipment like ovens and egg cookers to create baked goods including muffins, donuts, breads, eggs, and sausages.
- Ensure all display showcase requirements are met consistently.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the production and back-of-house areas on a daily basis.
- Receive, store, and stock inventory efficiently in both back and front of house locations.
- Keep the restaurant interior clean and maintain sanitation of equipment during each shift.
- Work swiftly and with urgency to maintain speed of service and meet guest demands.
- Handle guest concerns promptly with effective service recovery actions.
Desired Attributes and Qualifications
- Flexible work availability is considered advantageous.

- Able to work well under pressure while upholding food safety standards.
- Strong interest and enthusiasm for preparing food and beverages along with effective time management skills.
- Willing to learn operation of various equipment and capable of lifting boxes up to 25 pounds; comfortable working in cold environments such as freezers and refrigerators.
- Enjoy working collaboratively in a safe and supportive team environment.
- Demonstrate reliability by being punctual and maintaining a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in customer service is a plus.
- Capability to cross-train and support other outlets to ensure smooth business operations.
