Role Overview

As a Dishwasher, you will play a key role in maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of kitchenware and workspaces. Your primary responsibilities include cleaning dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, and maintaining the sanitation of the kitchen environment and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils according to specified procedures and using assigned equipment.
• Use polishing techniques including burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths to polish silverware.
• Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and orderly, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and meets safety requirements.
• Wash food preparation surfaces such as worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Manage waste by collecting trash into designated containers and cleanse garbage bins through steaming or hosing.
• Assist with moving supplies, products, and equipment between storage and work locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid Food Handler Certificate or equivalent provincial certification.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous dishwashing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Preferred experience handling industrial washing machines.
• Capable of working well under pressure with the necessary physical stamina to perform role duties.
