Job Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly manner.

Responsibilities

• Remove and rinse food debris from dirty dishes, then clean these by hand or place them in racks or conveyors for dishwashing machines, ensuring thorough sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays following specified procedures to guarantee cleanliness and hygiene.
• Polish silverware using burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, or hand cloths as appropriate, ensuring complete sanitation.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain chemical and temperature standards.
• Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas orderly and compliant with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to uphold sanitation guidelines.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces thoroughly.
• Dispose of trash in designated containers, steam clean or hose out garbage cans regularly.
• Assist in transferring supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help with loading and unloading supplies and products.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Schedule and Location

This full-time position is based at BNY - 500 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219, with working hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements

• No prior experience is required; training is provided.

Compensation

This role offers a fixed pay rate of $17.70 per hour.
