Full-Time Cake Decorator

About the Position

Our Cobble Hill location is currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cake Decorator to join the team. If you have a passion for baking and artistic cake design, this opportunity could be a perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and decorate a variety of sweet and savory baked goods in the bakery.
• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.
• Ensure all bakery products are accurately labeled, properly covered, rotated for freshness, and that inventory shelves are kept well stocked.
• Manage special orders as they arise according to customer requests.
• Package cookies, cakes, and bread; ice donuts; and create decorative cake designs.
• Support other store operations and perform additional tasks as needed.

Work Schedule

The role requires availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated creativity and artistic skills in cake decoration.
• Friendly and outgoing demeanor aimed at providing outstanding customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.
• Previous experience in cake decorating is advantageous; formal education in baking or pastry arts is highly regarded.
• Level 1 Baking certification considered a plus but not mandatory.
• Food Safe Certification is desirable; if not currently certified, successful candidates will have this certification facilitated by the employer.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and attention to detail, especially when working under pressure.
