Role Overview
This position provides a unique chance to influence how enterprises utilize AI practically. Serving as a liaison between the North product and clients' engineering teams, the role focuses on designing, building, and deploying agentic workflows powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) to create reliable, safe, and auditable AI solutions in sectors like finance, healthcare, and telecom. The role includes travel between 20% to 40% for onsite collaboration with customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with enterprise customers to translate complex, ambiguous business challenges into defined agentic workflows with measurable success criteria.
- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of LLM-driven agents capable of reasoning and acting via tools, APIs, and sensitive data, ensuring enterprise-level reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain features for the North AI workspace platform across its full development lifecycle from concept to production.
- Manage end-to-end scoping and shaping of technical use cases, adapting to varied technical demands including frontend development as necessary.
- Contribute to shared tools and frameworks to ensure consistent, high-quality output across teams and projects.
- Provide leadership to clarify ambiguous situations, build consensus, and elevate engineering standards across the organization.
- Engage in travel of up to 20-40% to collaborate on-site with clients and partners.
Candidate Profile
- Proven background in production-grade Python software development, writing clean, testable, scalable, and observable code.
- Experience building and deploying retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic applications employing multi-step task execution patterns like ReAct or Plan-and-Execute.
- Strong familiarity with the LLM stack including frontier AI models, vector databases, and orchestration systems.
- Track record of designing rigorous evaluation frameworks to measure agent accuracy, safety, and latency beyond trial-and-error methods.
- Experience collaborating directly with enterprise customers and leading technical discussions to convert ambiguous requirements into actionable technical designs.
- Capability to oversee the full scope of use cases from inception through delivery.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-moving, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous work environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience establishing architectural guidelines for AI and agentic systems within distributed teams.
- Flexibility to pivot into unfamiliar technical domains such as frontend development when project needs dictate.
- Exposure to regulated, sensitive industries like finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and auditability standards related to AI systems.
