Primary Role
The Flex Pricer is tasked with accurately pricing baggage and cargo merchandise spanning all product categories within Operations in a timely, organized manner.
Key Duties
- Develop thorough knowledge of prevailing retail prices for diverse categories including Apparel, Electronics, Sporting Goods, Shoes, Handbags, Suitcases, Eyewear, Books, and Toys.
- Determine prices based on retail insights, Liberty 4 Consignment software data, online research, catalogs, and manifests.
- Maintain pricing and inventory data within the Liberty program, staying updated on vendor and product codes and pricing structures.
- Handle Apparel by coordinating with Pricing Distribution to resolve tagging issues, applying initial tags, and signaling sorting errors.
- Manage low-value non-apparel items by unloading, pricing via Liberty, tagging and arranging for retail distribution; update shared Excel forms as required.
- Process high-value electronic merchandise to prepare for electronic clearance, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission.
- Collaborate with supervisors to recognize and safely discard counterfeit goods, utilizing management tools and training resources.
- Ensure efficient workflow and conduct quality control evaluations to prioritize pricing or alternative routing of merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization adhering to LEAN and 5S workplace standards.
- Support retail floor operations and participate in cross-training across pricing departments.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by management.
Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Proficient computer and typing skills are essential.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
- Capability to sit or stand for long durations.
- Able to work extensively on computers.
- Regularly lift items ranging from light to moderate weight.
Work Schedule and Conditions
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, totaling 40 hours weekly, with mandatory overtime when necessary.
- Required workdays include specific Fridays preceding major holidays and events, one Saturday before Thanksgiving, and one retail holiday annually.
