Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Support Technician with expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to join our team in Athenry, County Galway. This role supports the launch and efficient operation of our first European manufacturing site. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will provide critical technical and documentation support to ensure smooth site maintenance compliant with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze technical data from internal systems to support operational needs.
• Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports aiding Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
• Interpret technical documents such as schematics and process data to assist with investigations and reporting.
• Conduct trend analysis and data evaluation to identify improvements and support investigation efforts.
• Manage and ensure accurate, timely documentation for Non-Conformance (NC) cases.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing controlled documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to gather information for issue resolution.
• Provide practical technical expertise during quality-related matters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence projects.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are comprehensively documented and audit-ready.
• Utilize Maximo CMMS for tracking and managing maintenance workflows.
• Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during all maintenance operations.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations promoting a secure working environment.
• Participate in audits, risk assessments, and stress testing exercises for facility systems.
• Oversee and coordinate external contractor activities on-site.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance or technical support roles.
• Educational qualification equivalent to a high school diploma or certificate.
• Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Comprehensive understanding of GMP standards and safety protocols.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with Building Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS).
• Exposure to technical report writing.

The annual gross salary for this position ranges between €49,895 and €64,570, dependent on experience and qualifications.
