Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveying professional to join Gleeds Arabia as an Executive Quantity Surveyor based in Dubai. This senior position involves representing Gleeds as a corporate ambassador and contributing significantly to a prestigious building project. You will be responsible for managing both pre and post contract cost management within a large-scale building program.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver superior quality cost management services before and after contracts, ensuring client expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Adhere to Gleeds' governance and control processes to effectively manage commissions.
- Maintain and develop strong, positive client relationships.
- Provide leadership to teams, collaborating with Associate Directors to manage resources and workloads, and ensure administrative compliance such as appraisals and timesheets.
- Focus on employee management, retention, and professional growth.
- Enhance the cost management expertise within Gleeds.
- Collaborate smoothly with other Directors across the region.
Experience and Skills Required
- Minimum of 10 years of cost management experience after achieving MRICS qualification.
- At least 3 years of work and residence experience in the GCC region.
- Extensive background in leading cost consultancy efforts.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with post contract commercial management.
- Strong knowledge of construction claims processes.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and support others.
- Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to dynamic environments.
- Specialist expertise managing large-scale building projects such as museums, airport terminals, and major shopping malls.
- Proven track record in timely communication and collaboration with high-level clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Membership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS or FRICS) or equivalent designation.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent educational background.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
