Role Purpose

The Engineering Lead will be responsible for spearheading the development and deployment of Synapse APIs, ensuring that architectural design, engineering quality, scalability, security, and operational stability are rigorously maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete delivery lifecycle of API services from inception to production.
• Lead engineering squads and guide critical technical decisions.
• Guarantee adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and engineering best practices.
• Facilitate solution and code reviews as well as design governance activities.
• Provide mentorship to engineering teams and advocate for superior engineering methodologies.
• Oversee production readiness and approve deployments.
• Work collaboratively with Architecture, DevOps, Security, and Testing teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Identify and manage technical risks and dependencies effectively.
• Provide support during critical production incidents and major product releases.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in .NET 8 and C# programming language.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Strong knowledge of microservices architectural patterns.
• Proficiency in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with Kong Gateway and Kong Mesh API management platforms.
• Experience using GitHub Enterprise for source control.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Competence in secure API design principles.
• Skills in implementing observability and production monitoring practices.

• At least 10 years of experience in software engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in leading engineering teams.
• Proven track record managing enterprise-scale API platforms.
