EHS Advisor

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated EHS Advisor to join a manufacturing company in County Carlow on a permanent, fully onsite basis. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the EHS Manager and production teams to foster a robust safety culture across multiple manufacturing facilities. This position provides a vital opportunity to spearhead key safety initiatives and contribute to daily safety improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion and nurture a proactive environment focused on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) across the site, designing and executing comprehensive safety strategies.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure safe working systems and support operational teams in embedding safety into daily routines.
• Participate in meetings addressing EHS enhancements and operational challenges.
• Maintain and update all EHS-related documentation, including thorough accident and incident reports, while identifying issues and proposing corrective actions.
• Conduct site audits, oversee follow-up measures, and track progress against EHS objectives and compliance standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Level 7 or higher qualification in Health and Safety.
• Have at least two years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within manufacturing environments with hands-on exposure.
• Sound knowledge of Irish industry standards and regulations pertaining to safety.
• Excellent communication abilities coupled with sharp attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for driving positive health and safety changes.
