Role Overview
Based in Accra, Ghana, this full-time on-site position involves leading the design, coordination, and oversight of Enlace's academic programs and curricula. The coordinator focuses on preparing students for a variety of examinations including BECE, WASSCE, SAT, GRE, GMAT, IELTS, among others. Responsibilities include curriculum development, academic support coordination, mentorship management, staff training, school partnership facilitation, and program quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and continuously update structured curricula for national and international examinations, prioritizing key topics, competencies, and skills.
- Create pacing guides, study schedules, revision plans, and instructional frameworks tailored for test preparation.
- Analyze examination syllabi, past papers, assessment goals, and adjust priorities accordingly to optimize student performance.
- Lead academic support efforts including tutoring, intervention, and placement into appropriate learning programs.
- Provide direct instruction and facilitate academic review sessions as needed.
- Organize and implement professional development trainings for tutors, mentors, and educational staff.
- Manage mentorship programs ensuring effective mentor-student engagement and documentation.
- Oversee academic and career advisory services delivering guidance on educational and career pathways.
- Maintain liaison with schools to coordinate student support and foster collaborative relationships.
- Supervise the education team, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Implement program monitoring systems and report on educational outcomes, making recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant fields such as Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology, or related disciplines.
- Strong foundation in curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, and academic intervention.
- Practical experience with at least one key examination system (BECE, WASSCE, SAT, GRE, GMAT, IELTS, or comparable).
- Ability to interpret exam standards and student data to guide instructional priorities.
- Experience delivering education through teaching, tutoring, advising, or related roles.
- Demonstrated capability in supervising education personnel and coordinating with educational institutions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and data tracking tools.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidates with experience across multiple examination systems, particularly combining Ghanaian and international standardized tests, are favored. The ideal professional translates exam requirements into practical curricula, prioritizes instructional content effectively, and leads educational teams and partnerships strategically.
