Job description
Position Summary
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority seeks a dedicated Diet Aide to provide essential support within the Cafeteria department at the Churchill Health Centre. Reporting to the Manager of Support Services, the role involves assisting with client services related to dietary needs in a hospital environment.
Work Details
- Location: Churchill, Manitoba
- Work arrangement: On-site
- Shifts: Days, evenings, and weekends
- Daily working hours: 11.5 hours
- Annual base hours: 2080
- Full-time equivalent (FTE): 1.00
- Anticipated start date: August 31, 2026
Compensation
Salary Scale: $21.344 to $23.959 per hour, incremental steps included.
Required Experience and Education
- Experience in dietary roles within a hospital setting
- Previous food service or dietary experience
- Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of WHMIS standards and/or certification
Employment Conditions
- Successful completion of Criminal Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
- Child Abuse and Adult Abuse Registry Checks required; costs borne by the candidate
- Verification of checks valid if issued within six months prior to employment start
- Candidates may be requested to complete a skills assessment during hiring
- Employees cannot hold more than 1.0 FTE across WRHA entities
