About the Role
Join DKB AG through its technology-focused sister company, DKB Code Factory GmbH, to work in an environment that combines the stability of a leading financial institution with the agility and innovation of a tech-driven team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure prioritizing stability, scalability, and security.
- Administer and optimize Kubernetes environments on EKS, managing namespaces, access control, resource quotas, and network policies.
- Create and support reusable CI/CD pipelines, focusing on GitLab CI/CD.
- Implement GitOps deployment methods using Flux, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and AWS resources through Terraform and Crossplane.
- Ensure secure handling of secrets and sensitive configurations using tools like SOPS and AWS KMS.
- Enhance system monitoring, alerting, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving CI/CD, Kubernetes, GitOps, and cloud environments.
- Empower development teams to autonomously manage deployments, platform interaction, and CI/CD workflows.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure management, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Strong practical expertise with AWS services including EKS, IAM/IRSA, S3, KMS, RDS/Aurora, and network configurations.
- Operational experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
- Competency with CI/CD processes, particularly with GitLab CI/CD and pipeline template development.
- Solid knowledge of GitOps principles and proficiency with Flux, Helm, or Kustomize tools.
- Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform and/or Crossplane.
- Understanding of monitoring, observability, alerting systems, and performance tuning.
- Passion for defining best practices, sharing expertise, and supporting product teams.
- Methodical, autonomous, and solution-focused working methods.
- Fluency in German and English, ideally at advanced (C1) levels or higher.
Additional Advantages
- Familiarity with regulated industries, audit compliance, and controlled release procedures.
- Experience in on-call duties, incident management, creation of runbooks, and post-incident process enhancements.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
