Role Overview

The Delivery Driver is entrusted with the task of transporting and delivering various products, packages, documents, or orders efficiently and safely to customers or specified locations. Timeliness, proper handling of cargo, precise documentation, and courteous client interactions are crucial to this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Pickup and deliver items as per scheduled assignments including products, goods, orders, or documents.
• Navigate using delivery routes and GPS or other navigation tools effectively.
• Verify delivery specifics such as addresses, order details, quantities, and recipient information.
• Ensure secure loading, transportation, and unloading of shipments.
• Guarantee timely deliveries and maintain the quality of goods during transit.
• Collect customer signatures, confirm deliveries, or process payments when necessary.
• Interact professionally with customers regarding timing and location of deliveries.
• Address customer queries and resolve delivery issues courteously.
• Report any delays, damage to goods, missing items, or issues encountered during delivery without delay.
• Maintain thorough and accurate delivery documentation including receipts and transaction records.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and notify the appropriate parties of maintenance or safety concerns.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and operationally sound at all times.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and organizational protocols.
• Effectively manage multiple deliveries ensuring deadlines are respected.
• Work in coordination with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, supervisors, and customer service departments for smooth operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possession of a valid UAE driving license suited for the vehicle type assigned.
• Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or related roles is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UAE's roadways, landmarks, and route planning.
