Job Overview

We seek a dedicated Deli Assistant based in Riverstick, County Cork, to contribute to the preparation of premium hot and cold deli offerings while prioritizing outstanding customer service.

Candidate Profile

• Possessing or willingness to obtain HACCP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong verbal communication capabilities.
• Previous experience in customer service is advantageous.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-moving team environment, managing multiple tasks under pressure.
• Enthusiasm for food and inspiring customer engagement around product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare customer requests across fresh food sections including assembling sandwiches, portioning hot items, and slicing meats using store-standard portion controls.
• Cook, prepare, and display all deli products consistently throughout business hours.
• Maintain exceptional standards of food presentation and displays at the counter across all fresh food areas continuously during the day.
• Share passion for quality food by offering knowledge, recipes, and tailored advice to customers.
• Handle all customer inquiries promptly and professionally in alignment with store policies.
