Job description
Overview
The position of Data & AI Project Manager involves supervising projects starting from the post-sales phase through to their conclusion by coordinating necessary resources, managing budgets, and assessing performance and delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Track the advancement of projects by monitoring milestones, ensuring timelines are met, and addressing any challenges or delays during the project lifecycle.
- Manage project documentation thoroughly by keeping accurate records, updating project files, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of all paperwork.
- Conduct frequent site visits to oversee operations, verify compliance with safety standards, and collaborate with on-site teams to resolve project-specific issues.
- Work in partnership with cross-functional teams such as engineers, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Promote clear communication and teamwork among all team members to meet project goals effectively.
- Oversee project budgets and resource distribution to complete projects within allocated financial limits, coordinating closely with the finance department for expense management.
- Identify risks proactively and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide continuous status updates and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements by recognizing opportunities within project management practices and implementing best methods to enhance efficiency and quality.
Talent Development
- Lead and mentor the project team, fostering empowerment and a sense of ownership.
- Build team capabilities and establish a strong succession planning strategy.
- Perform regular performance evaluations, determine training requirements, and supervise development plans for team members.
Educational and Experience Requirements
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience.
