About the Role

We represent an established technology services business expanding its cyber consultancy team in Dublin. This is an opportunity for a Cyber Security Consultant to actively lead client engagements and contribute significantly to project delivery alongside an experienced senior team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage direct client relationships and conduct consulting engagements independently.
• Perform cyber governance, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations.
• Advise clients on frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, and ISO 27001.
• Conduct maturity, risk, and regulatory gap analyses.
• Develop actionable security improvement strategies for clients.
• Lead operational resilience initiatives and incident readiness programs.
• Prepare ransomware preparedness and incident response plans.
• Facilitate cybersecurity tabletop exercises.
• Contribute to virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) services and broader advisory projects.
• Translate technical and regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance.
• Collaborate closely with senior consultants while maintaining ownership of deliverables.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately five years’ experience in cybersecurity; quality and diversity of experience prioritized.
• Proven track record in customer-facing cyber security consultancy or advisory roles.
• Comprehensive knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) fundamentals supported by strong technical insight.
• Experience working with NIS2, DORA, or ISO 27001 regulations and frameworks.
• Ability to confidently manage client engagements from initial stages.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills.
• Capability to simplify complex security requirements into feasible actions.
• Organized, collaborative, and result-oriented approach to delivery.
• Experience in sectors such as financial services, public sector, telecommunications, healthcare, energy, transport, or digital infrastructure is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Relevant certifications like CISM, CISSP, CISA, or ISO 27001 are beneficial but practical experience is given greater importance.

Additional Information
