Customer Delivery Driver - Cardiff Extra

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you will represent Tesco while visiting customers at their homes, combining driving with customer service excellence. This role involves physical activity and variety, requiring you to work independently for much of the time but supported by a team at the base.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your vehicle, trays, and work area to ensure customer orders arrive in excellent condition.
• Safely load the delivery van, perform checks to ensure it is roadworthy and reliable before starting deliveries.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with customers regarding changes to orders, substitutions, or near-expiry items, providing refunds when necessary to maintain smooth customer experiences.
• Handle all products with care, ensuring each delivery meets quality standards and customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within scheduled time slots, offering friendly and professional service at the customer's doorstep to make them feel valued.

Candidate Requirements

• Build positive relationships with colleagues to foster a supportive team environment that enhances customer service.
• Display warmth and friendliness towards both customers and coworkers.
• Adapt quickly to evolving customer needs and changes during deliveries and store duties.
• Hold a valid UK, EU, or EEA driving license (either full or automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than three penalty points.
