Job Overview

This permanent position at The Purbeck School involves supervising students in classrooms during the absence of their usual subject teachers. The role demands strong organizational skills and responsibility to manage classroom activities and attend to student progress during supervision periods.

Work Schedule, Compensation, and Terms

  • This role is term-time only, including one inset day each term.
  • There are full-time and part-time options available:
    • Part-time: 2 days per week, 12 hours weekly, with a pro-rated annual salary of 7,101.
    • Full-time: 5 days per week, 30 hours weekly, with a pro-rated annual salary of 17,754.
  • Salaries are paid monthly in equal installments and adjusted appropriately at employment start or end within the academic year.
  • The pay award is pending.
  • The anticipated start date for this position is October 2026.

Qualifications and Experience

  • You should have at least 5 GCSEs at grade C or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
  • Prior successful experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar education support role is desirable.
