Content Copy Editor

Job Overview

The Content Copy Editor will be based in Dubai and tasked with reviewing, editing, and proofreading diverse kinds of written material to ensure clarity, accuracy, engagement, and consistency, all in line with the company’s tone and branding standards.

Core Duties

• Edit and proofread a variety of content including articles, website text, marketing collateral, reports, and social media posts.
• Develop market-focused articles suitable for broadcasts or publications and create compelling marketing content.
• Rectify errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and formatting.
• Collaborate closely with writers, content creators, graphic and other designers, as well as marketing teams.
• Ensure that all content adheres to company style guidelines and editorial policies.
• Handle multiple editing projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or an allied discipline.
• Between 2 to 5 years’ experience in copy editing, proofreading, content creation, journalism, or comparable roles.
• Exceptional command of English language mechanics including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong communication abilities.
• Competent in research and verification of information.
• Adept at working under pressure to meet tight deadlines across multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, content management systems, and digital editing/proofreading tools is beneficial.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is AED 22,000 to AED 25,000.
