Prompt Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a Prompt Engineer based in Dubai to join a fintech/banking organization. This role involves creating, testing, and improving prompts that guide the behavior of large language model (LLM)-driven applications and intelligent agents. The Prompt Engineer will serve as the bridge between business goals and AI outcomes, ensuring reliable, safe, and accurate production systems.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Develop and refine prompts for LLM-powered systems to meet specific business objectives.
• Engage in prompt engineering tasks including reasoning, information extraction, summarization, and designing agent workflows.
• Generate synthetic datasets and employ rigorous AI/LLM evaluation methods.
• Implement and understand Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI gateways, and routing strategies for models.
• Ensure AI safety by addressing prompt injection risks and securing agent designs.
• Work extensively with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalents.
• Build and assess AI agents using tool integration, retrieval augmented generation (RAG) architectures, and memory mechanisms.
• Mitigate hallucinations in production AI systems.
• Produce structured outputs following JSON Schema for responses generated by LLMs.
• Design evaluation pipelines to measure quality, accuracy, latency, and safety of LLM systems.
• Utilize Python to collaborate with AI and machine learning engineering teams.
• Apply AI monitoring and evaluation tools such as LangSmith, DeepEval, or Ragas.
• Understand distinctions between local and cloud-based LLM inference and their production implications.

Additional Information
