Consumables Associate

Position Overview

Working as a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada offers a valuable opportunity to enhance your retail industry skills. In this role, you will be a key supporter of customer service and contribute to the efficient and high-paced movement of products from the storage area to the sales floor. You will work collaboratively with your team to stock, process merchandise, and assist customers, maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet all customers in a polite, friendly manner.
• Assist shoppers by promoting products and services, helping locate items, and facilitating their buying decisions.
• Address customer concerns and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Maintain attractive sales floor presentation by stocking, rotating products, removing damaged or expired goods, arranging displays, and pricing merchandise.
• Ensure correct processing of claims and returns, safeguard merchandise, identify items prone to shrinkage, and uphold safety standards per company policies.
• Receive and stock incoming merchandise using appropriate equipment and complete related documentation.
• Refer specific service and transactional requests to the Customer Service Manager as necessary.
• Stock shelves and pick merchandise for orders, perform downstocking when needed, apply product protection measures, and set modular displays including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Salary

The starting wage for this position is $16.90 per hour.
