Consumables Associate

Position Overview

As a Consumables Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a key role in the retail environment, developing your skills while engaging in a fast-paced, customer-focused role. Your main responsibility will be to facilitate the smooth movement of merchandise from the back stock areas to the sales floor, while providing excellent service to shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers courteously and helpfully throughout their visit.
• Promote products and services, support customers in finding merchandise, and guide them through purchase decisions.
• Address customer concerns effectively and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain an attractive and orderly sales floor by stocking, rotating merchandise, removing outdated or damaged goods, arranging product displays, and ensuring accurate pricing and signage.
• Handle claims and returns properly, safeguard merchandise, monitor high shrinkage items, and uphold workplace safety following company policies.
• Receive incoming merchandise, use equipment correctly, and complete associated paperwork and documentation.
• Refer certain service and transactional requests to the Customer Service Manager as appropriate.
• Manage product stocking including shelving and down-stocking when required, apply product protection measures, and set modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps.

Compensation

The starting wage for this role is $17.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement of 16 years or older.
