About the Role
Join a progressive advanced manufacturing company specializing in high-performance components for aerospace, electronics, and industrial sectors. We seek a skilled CMM Programmer to oversee the inspection of precision-engineered parts and assist in product development from prototype to final quality validation. This role involves hands-on use of modern metrology tools within a dynamic engineering setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and operate programs for CMM equipment, including Hexagon/PC-DMIS and Renishaw Agility/MODUS systems
- Enhance and refine CMM inspection processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support product development activities
- Oversee calibration tasks and ensure thorough and precise inspection documentation
- Foster knowledge sharing and promote continuous improvement within the metrology group
Candidate Profile
- At least three years of experience programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Proficiency with PC-DMIS and/or MODUS software
- Strong skills in interpreting engineering drawings and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Background in environments requiring high-precision manufacturing
- Exceptional attention to detail coupled with effective problem-solving abilities
- Self-driven, cooperative team player capable of independent work
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of fixture and jig design using Fusion 360 or Rhino CAD software
- Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), or Gauge R&R methodologies
- Experience in data analysis or programming/coding
