Position Overview
The role of a Cashier is vital in delivering excellent customer service by offering prompt, courteous, precise, and secure transaction handling. Responsibilities include processing sales and returns, as well as overseeing the Self-Checkout stations. Cashiers actively enhance their product and project understanding to assist customers effectively and uncover potential sales opportunities. Strict adherence to company policies and procedures is required to minimize losses.
Additional Role - Head Cashier
A Head Cashier supports the Cashier team by managing cashier assignments, facilitating price verifications, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental areas. They serve as the initial point of escalation for customer concerns and aid in supervising, coaching, and mentoring Front End Associates by training new Cashiers and leveraging coaching tools to foster staff development.
Preferred Experience
Ideal candidates for the Head Cashier position have a minimum of one year of cashier experience.
