Position Overview

The Cashier serves as a vital point of contact in delivering efficient, friendly, and precise services at checkout. Responsibilities include processing purchases, returns, and managing the Self-Checkout area diligently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform checkout and return transactions accurately and promptly.
• Oversee and uphold the Self-Checkout station for smooth customer use.
• Acquire and apply product and project knowledge to assist customers effectively and identify potential sales opportunities.
• Comply with company policies to reduce inventory shrinkage.
• If serving as Head Cashier, organize cashier assignments, expedite price verifications, and authorize POS actions such as transactions and markdowns across registers and service areas.
• Handle frontline customer concerns and support the training and coaching of Front End Associates and new Cashiers using all training resources available.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience of over one year as a Cashier is desirable for the Head Cashier role.
