Cashier

Position Overview

The role of a Cashier is vital in delivering prompt, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. This includes managing checkout and return transactions, alongside overseeing the Self-Checkout zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently process customer purchases and returns.
• Supervise and maintain the Self-Checkout area to ensure smooth operation.
• Proactively acquire product and project knowledge to assist customers effectively and identify sales opportunities.
• Comply strictly with all company policies to minimize inventory loss.

Head Cashier Duties (If applicable)

• Assign positions to Cashiers and provide support through expediting price checks and approving transactions including markdowns across mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
• Handle first-level escalations on customer concerns.
• Assist in overseeing, coaching, and training Front End Associates, helping onboard new Cashiers and using available tools for development and improvement of team performance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for Head Cashier should have over one year of prior experience as a Cashier.
