Position Summary
Cashiers serve an essential role in delivering prompt, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. They handle transactions at checkout and returns, and oversee the Self-Checkout zone. They actively expand their product and project knowledge to share information with customers and uncover sales opportunities. Ensuring compliance with company policies helps reduce loss.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
The Head Cashier manages Cashier staffing, speeds up price verifications, and authorizes Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across various registers including Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They act as the initial escalation point for customer concerns and support supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates. This includes onboarding new Cashiers and using coaching tools to mentor the team.
Preferred Qualification
Applicants should have at least one year of prior Cashier experience.
