Job description
Position Summary
Cashiers hold an essential role in delivering speedy, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. Their duties include handling checkout and return transactions, as well as overseeing the Self-Checkout area. They actively pursue knowledge about products and projects to assist customers effectively and identify sales opportunities. Adherence to all company policies and procedures is required to minimize losses.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
In addition to cashier tasks, a Head Cashier manages and supports other Cashiers by facilitating price verifications, authorizing Point of Sale (POS) transactions and markdowns across various registers and service points including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They handle first-level escalations of customer concerns and contribute to the supervision, coaching, and training of Front End Associates, including onboarding new Cashiers and utilizing coaching tools to enhance team performance.
Qualifications
The preferred candidate for the Head Cashier role should have at least one year of experience working as a Cashier.
