About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by managing the entire sales cycle. Initially, you will undergo a 3-month training period, after which you will work from the Manchester office three days per week while having the flexibility to work remotely otherwise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete 360-degree sales cycle, from prospecting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to managing accounts in their early stages.
  • Represent Capital on Tap's business credit card, closing impactful deals.
  • Generate and qualify new SME leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Conduct 30 to 50 outbound calls daily to engage with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets through customer acquisition and encouraging early product adoption.
  • Adhere strictly to compliance standards and FCA regulations to ensure customer protection.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrable expertise in full-cycle sales involving prospecting and initial account management.
  • Strong skills in outbound B2B prospecting and lead generation.
  • Experience handling high volumes of cold calls and outreach activities.
  • High ownership mindset with urgency and accountability towards sales targets.
  • Self-driven ability to set and manage daily activity goals.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges from £30,000 to £40,000 annually with an uncapped commission scheme. Typical first-year on-target earnings (OTE) average around £50,000, with top newcomers reaching £70,000 and top earners exceeding £100,000. The record for quarterly commission stands at £52,000.
