Job description

Overview

As a Branch Assistant at our company based in Manchester, you will be entrusted with the key task of maintaining and managing equipment within the branch. This involves ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are properly prepared and ready for operational use. Routine testing and running of equipment will be required, with any defects or repairs promptly reported to Fitters. This position occasionally includes delivering equipment locally, so possessing a full and clean UK driving licence is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and correctly storing all equipment within the branch premises.
  • Conducting regular test and running activities to verify equipment functionality and reporting necessary maintenance to Fitters.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety at Work legislation and maintaining the branch's presentation to high standards consistently.
  • Performing local deliveries as needed, requiring a valid driving licence.

Candidate Requirements

  • Interest in tools and handling small plant machinery.
  • A positive mindset aimed at delivering outstanding service.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Valid UK driving licence due to occasional delivery responsibilities.
  • Desirable: Experience or knowledge in repairing and maintaining small tool products, including test and run procedures.
