Job description
Position Overview
A leading European engineering contractor based in Dublin is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator to lead the delivery of MEP building services projects. The company specializes in comprehensive Data Centre construction with a solid project pipeline for the next five years, offering excellent advancement prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to create collaborative 2D and 3D models along with relevant technical drawings.
- Collaborate closely with BIM Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Supervisors to ensure coordinated project execution.
- Conduct clash detection checks, generate weekly clash reports, and manage incoming/shared model coordination.
- Produce visual presentations and detailed drawings as dictated by the BIM manager.
- Oversee coordination of MEP BIM projects and provide BIM deliverables for both active construction and tender phases.
- Lead a team of BIM technicians and engineers, supporting their work and development.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience modeling Mechanical or Electrical systems within an engineering consultancy or contractor setting.
- Proven experience leading BIM teams on sizable projects.
- Background in Mechanical or Electrical trades or engineering is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency with Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and MS Office suite.
- Must currently reside in Ireland or the UK and be authorized to work in Ireland without needing a work permit.
